The Best Coffee Shops on Hilton Head Island

If there’s one thing millennials will do on vacation, it’s find a cute local coffee shop and spend $7 on a little treat without hesitation. We’ve been blamed for killing the housing market with avocado toast. We’ve watched skinny jeans become cool, uncool, and apparently cool again. We deserve the $10 latte. So if you’re visiting Hilton Head Island and need your caffeine fix, here are a few of the best coffee shops on Hilton Head Island, places that make the coffee scene unforgettable.

Origin Coffee Bar

This is your cute coffee shop moment and my personal favorite! 10/10 every time! It should definitely be included when searching for Hilton Head Island’s best coffee shop experiences.

Grab a latte, sit for a minute, scroll TikTok, send your friends 14 Reels and enjoy having absolutely nowhere you need to be. Be prepared to wait in a line though between May and September. It’s a local fan favorite! I highly recommend a simple vanilla latte with cold foam! Their season flavors are always amazing as well.

Coffee on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island Coffee Roasters

For the people who actually care about their coffee. They roast their beans locally and have everything from espresso to cold brew. They just redid the coffee shop and it is so cute. They offer their roasted beans as well as some merch. Menu is pretty basic with a few specials but coffee taste good. 7/10 If you’re hunting for that authentic Hilton Head Island best coffee shops vibe, this is a great choice.

Barnacle Brews

This is located right next to Barnacle Bill’s and has the same owner! He is a local which I love. They are always doing seasonal drinks. BUT be prepared for another long line during summer months! But not a bad problem to have as a business owner! 9/10 If you’re exploring the best coffee shops Hilton Head Island has, Barnacle Brews stands out with charm.

Corner Perk

Because the millennial urge to turn everything into brunch is alive and well. Food is great but coffee is eh. But that is just my opinion. They tend to burn their coffee. 5/10 maybe 6/10 because of the food. While Corner Perk may not top my list, it still earns a spot among Hilton Head Island best coffee shop contenders for its brunch and atmosphere.

Watusi Cafe

Coffee, breakfast AND lunch near Coligny. AND gluten free options too! Watusi Cafe is often mentioned when talking about coffee shops on Hilton Head Island that are the best for all-day eats and drinks.

AKA: a perfectly good reason not to use the kitchen in your Airbnb.

Tons of syrup options and specialty drinks for all the people who thrive off speciality drinks. 8/10

Java Burrito Company

Coffee and breakfast burritos. For anyone searching for the island’s best coffee shop options, Java Burrito Company is a unique addition to Hilton Head’s must-visit list.

That’s it. That’s the pitch, and shockingly their coffee isn’t half bad!

It reminds me of Chipotle and Moe’s but they also offer breakfast too! Tons of diary and gluten free options as well.

They have speciality flavors which gives them a bump up 7/10

I’m Haleigh with Charley Mae Photography, and I photograph families and couples vacationing on Hilton Head Island without the stiff, awkward “everyone look at me and say cheese!” nonsense. If you’re planning a Hilton Head vacation, check out my Hilton Head family photography sessions or reach out here to book your session.

We’ll move, laugh, let the kids be kids and get photos that actually feel like your family.

Because your camera roll probably has 14,000 photos in it already — but how many have you in them?

Exactly. 😉
